"Let's Clean Out My Closet!"

I know I've talked about this subject before, but I guess I'm just amazed by little Zachary. The other day he said to me, "Let's clean out my closet and find toys to give away to the needy!" He said it with as much excitement as if he were talking about going to Disneyland. He love to help clean and organize, which I don't know where it comes from, but it is certainly nice trait to have.

So we cleaned it out, taking out most things in the closet, and finding a whole bunch of old shoes and puzzles that we could get rid of. We also organized a little bit and moved some of the games that were overflowing out of Kevin's closet into Zach's. One of these days he and I will tackle my closet.......I'm sure he'd be ready to do it tomorrow, it's just me that's putting it off!

Zach It always makes me feel good when I can clean and organize my stuff. When you can give away good stuff so others can use it that is a bonus. From Uncle hoho.

Your Great Grandfather Riley loved to clean.

What a great chore to tackle together! I could use Zach to help me decide what to keep and what to toss.
He's got such an easy-going way about him.

Lauren will be with us overnight Sunday and all day Monday. So I've got some cupboards for her to help me go through and clean out to earn some more money for her Wash. D.C. trip.So I've got a helper too! It's much more fun when you do it together!

Love, Mom

That is SO cute and sweet about Zach! He is a great little helper and I noticed that when we were in his room the other Saturday that he was very organized with his things. I love that! Love him and Kevin. Hugs from their Grami xo

Well what an inspiration! After reading this, I cleaned the paperwork up on my desk. Today, after Namie, Sandy and Susan were here for lunch, I did my long overdue ironing, 3 loads of wash and watched a DVR'd episode of Oprah about Peter Walsh and his "cleaning house" campaign. I made a list of what to do next in our closets. Have the office one to do, the cabinets in the garage, picture frames to paint black and then hang on a wall and yikes then my closet.

You inspired me, Zach. I love your determination and generosity of spirit.

Love, Grandma Dee

After reading the above comments I put a new bracelet on my arm that reads: WWZD (What would Zach Do?) First, I cleaned out my desk, than I sewed my winter mittens, than I watched Rachel Ray, than I wrote a thank-you note to all of Santa's elves, than I made a "honey do" list. From there I picked all the lint of my black coat, mopped up the garage, pulled some weeds in the yard, and ironed and washed Jason's clothes.

Thank you Zach, for your grace and divine spirit that made me full like a prancing unicorn as I went about my chores.
