One Man's Trash....

Yesterday we had a huge garage sale for our 3-day walk team. It was a huge success, raising over $2000 dollars! We had so many donations from friends all over town, it was amazing how much stuff there was. The team started setting it up on Friday and I joined them after work. I could not believe what was already there by the time I got off of work. We had a little scare as it started to rain, but we quickly brought some things in the garage and covered the rest with tarps. Thankfully the rain stopped for the rest of the night and yesterday turned out to be perfect garage sale weather.

The team is now up to 7 people. I am so happy to have joined with these women because the more I get to know them, the more amazing they become. We are planning more fundraisers throughout the summer. At the end of the fundraisers we plan on dividing up the money depending on who needs more to make their goal of $2300 for the walk. So far I'm at $1200, which I think is great considering I haven't even sent out my main donation letters. (you may be getting one soon in the mail :)
And remember, if you want to donate online, it's the easiest way! http://www.the3day.org/goto/tashariley
