So today is the last day of summer vacation for Kevin. I am trying to think of something fun to do..... although I know for sure that the day will include haircuts for the boys. I told them I would let them grow out their hair all summer, but Zach has been begging for a haircut.
And lastly, before we get this party started, let me do a quick run down of how I've been doing with my running.....mostly to keep me on track:
Monday: 3.3
Tues.: 5.4
Wed: 3.0
Thurs. 5.5
Fri: 2.0 (walk)
Sat: 16.5 (furthest so far)
I finally tried Bob's suggestion of running 10 minutes, walking 1 and it seemed to work well as far as not feeling completely dead afterwards. I haven't officially signed up for the Santa Clarita marathon, but it's on my list of things to do. I have signed up for the Rock N Roll half marathon in San Jose though, which is going to be October 5th. This looks like a fun one and it looks like I will have some good company with me too!!

Oh my gosh school is starting tomorrow. Right after the 4th of July it seems like the summer is over. I am sure Kevin is excited to see his friends and his new teacher but getting up early will take awhile to get use to.
I heard about Zachs encounter with the front door...........OUCH!! Maybe that is why he wasn't feeling well yesterday. Poor guy. Give him a HUGE hug and kiss from Namie, Mennis and me.
Wow, 16 miles, good for you. Sounds like you have a good pattern going. Bay to Breakers will be alot of fun. The weather should be nice and cool (my kind of run/walk weather).
Hope the haircuts go well today. Send some pics if you have time. Will call later on to wish Kev well on his first day of school. Also to see how Zachie is feeling. Love you all, Susan
Sorry about Zach. Yuck, no fun being sick in the summer. I couldn't help but laugh at Zachie trying to walk with his eyes closed. No Fear! I love his zest for life, even if some of the activities cause a little "pain."
Kevin, good luck at school. What a short summer, but what fun being back at school with your friends. Grandpa and I love you lots. I cannot believe that you are now a second grader. Stop growing up!
Love you lots,
Grandma Dee
