Vegas, Baby, Vegas

Garrett and I are heading out to Vegas this afternoon.....just the two of us, for two days!  We could be heading out to Bakersfield for all I care, I am just excited about getting away.  Garrett has a work conference on Friday so I get to go along for the ride.  I get to sleep in tomorrow morning while Garrett goes off to work!  I brought along exercise clothes so I am hoping to get to hotel gym.  I am not a gambler at all so I don't plan on spending much time in the casinos.  I may check out the pool.  I just don't know how to spend my precious hours away!   I am excited about tomorrow night though, when we are going to see the Cirque Du Soleil show Love, all set to Beatles music.  Should be great!

we have checked in at the Flamingo, first built by Mobster Bugsy Siegel. In his honor Tasha and I are going to get a yard long margarita and walk around.

You may have been happy to get away, but I was happy to be able to babysit Kevin and Zach while you were away. It was so hot on Thursday night and Kevin wanted to sit right next to me and kinda on me while he read his book. Then, Zach was squished in on the other side of me. We were 3 toasty little marshmallows on the couch and I loved every minute of it. Then, Grandpa came up on Friday and we had another great time. Loved them crawling into bed with us early in the morning and just talking, telling stories and laughing.
These are the best of times,
Grandma Dee

The show sounded wonderful and your seats the BEST. So glad you two had a great getaway. We would love to have the boys come and stay with us this summer. Think about it and let's put it together. That way you and Garrett can have another fun getaway to who knows where. Love you all, Susan
