Forwarded Messages

Most of the time I don't really do much with forwarded messages. I typically will read them but I rarely forward them on to others..... especially if they end with, "Do this within the next 10 minutes and something really great will happen to you". Occasionally I get one that I find worth while and so here is my forwarded message to you today:

"The band, Five for Fighting, is generously donating $0.40 to Autism
Speaks for *each time* the video is viewed. The funding goes toward
research studies to help find a cure. When you have a moment, please
visit the link below to watch the video and pass it along to your
friends and family. It is a great & sad video.
They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them
to surpass this goal.
Thank you,"

This was forwarded to me from a friend of mine in Ventura whose son has autism and I worked with him when he was just 3 years old.  He is now 11, I think, and in Junior High, and every time she sends me pictures of him I can't believe how big he's gotten.  We used to live down the street from them and when I was pregnant with Kevin this little boy used to always rub my belly and say, "Baby in the tummy!"
Anyway, watch the video.  It's informational if nothing else and maybe it will help raise money for a good cause.

I watched the video and my heart went out to the parents and children. The photographs of the children were so amazingly beautiful!
Tasha, you have such a heart for these kids...I know God is using you in their lives and will continue to do so!
I am now "Paula" on the blogs instead of "Grami", because of Kim's blog and my comments to her, too! Only two more weeks for her!
Much love to you, Garrett and my precious grandsons....Paula xo

What an amazing video. I will definately forward it on to all in my e mail address book. I had a friend that I flew with alot who had a son who was autistic. It was probably 20 years ago so the knowledge wasn't quite like it is today (however there is so much more to learn and make people aware of autism). It is so difficult and challenging for not only the parent's but for the child themselves. To be in a world that one cannot communicate like they want to is so hard to understand the frustration that they feel. I know that it must be one of the hardest parts of your profession to cope with. I would love to know more about the boy that you helped while you and Garrett were living in Ventura and how he is doing. I am sure that he was helped by your expertise and care. I do remember your talking about him and what he said about your being pregnant with Kevin. My love to you all

Tasha, Bless you for sharing this with all of us. I went to the site and by the time I got to the end I could hardly see it through my tears. So moving and very alarming at the rate of increase in the number of cases. I will share the site with my friends. Also, it is very encouraging to see that over a million people have already hit the site. Plus, Five for Fighting is one of my favorite groups. Thanks for raising our awareness.
Love,
Denise

Tasha, thank you so much for sharing this and I will definately forward the link on to others. It is so heartbraking to see these little ones and realize what they and their families go through.
It is a blessing when a child is born normally.
Love, Sandy & Namie
