AWANA

Last night the boys started AWANA through our church, well and I started too because I am one of the leaders.  AWANA is kind of like Sunday School or Vacation Bible School, but it happens once a week, all through the school year.  I originally signed up to help with Kevin's age group, K-2nd, and I thought that would be easy enough because the kids are a little older, can listen, can understand better.  BUT there were too many others that signed up for that same group, so I went over to help with Zachary's age group, the 3 and 4 year olds.  When we got home Garrett asked how it went and I just said, "chaotic"!  Lucky for me I had a great little group consisting of three little girls and Zach.  This age group is not what is unknown to me, I work with little ones too, but the fact is that there were some really, wild, crazy, out of control kids and I was just happy that they weren't in my group!  At the end of the night both boys seemed to have had a good time.  Kevin was in a group with some kids he knew both from church and from school, and he excited because he got stickers and a lollipop.....nice to give a kid this at 8:00 pm right before bed!

By the way, the picture above has nothing to do with AWANA, I just wanted to include it.  This was from our last trip to Mammoth over Labor Day weekend.

I love that you are doing Awana with the boys. It is such a great program. Papa read the blog with me this morning and he said "Way to go, Tasha!" You are a wonderful mother. I'm glad you got the easy group. :) I love seeing all the photos of the boys and the family everyday. Give them a hug and kisses from us. Thanks for taking the time to do these writings!

Dear Tasha,
I love reading your Blog each day. It makes me feel as if I'm right there with you, not 3000 miles away. Joe and I have said many times what a wonderful mother you are. You plan such great things for the boys to do.
I'm going to try your diet.
