Dog Tired

It felt like I had run a marathon.  My legs were feeling like jello but I kept pushing them forward.  My trusty companion just trotted along next to me, but even she was slowing down.  Good old Dodger is ten years old, and you know that's 70 in dog years. She just is up for any challenge.  We got back to the house and I looked at my pedometer, which I don't know how to set but I thought I would just try it out.  It said 3.5 miles.  I knew this could not be right.  I had ran that far with no problem and I knew this was my longest run I had ever done.  So I got in the car and retraced my steps, sort of.  I was running along a bike path so I couldn't retrace it perfectly.  Anyway, guess how many miles we ran yesterday?
Ok I'll tell you......9 miles!

Unbelievable, not for you, but for Dodger! GOOD FOR BOTH OF YOU! I used to run....I can barely remember it, it was soooo long ago when Dad and I were living in Princeton. When I'd get home from work at the Psychiatic Hospital, I'd take a run before starting dinner. Until.... one day I received a phone call right after I got back from my run.The caller simply said,"I know who you are and I know where you run". Well, that was it for me. Of course, if I had a good companion like Dodger, I would not have any second thoughts about it. And, of course, it didn't help to work at a Phyciatric Unit either!! Keep up the good work!

Tasha! That is awesome! You go girl! Someone would be admitting me into the hospital if i even attempted that!

And that is such a freaky running story! I would have stopped too, for sure.

p.s. happy belated birthday!!! I've been meaning to email you. love ya! xo
